The Skyspace Lech art installation
The neighbouring village of Lech am Arlberg is located at an altitude of over 1,450 metres above sea level and forms part of one of the largest and best ski resorts in the world, the same one our holiday destination of Zürs is part of: Lech Zürs and Warth Schröcken. Alongside unique skiing fun, Lech am Arlberg is also a top location for art and culture lovers. Since September 2018, a special work of art has been impressing both local residents and visitors alike: the Skyspace Lech. This light and landscape installation was designed by the famous American artist James Turrell and features a so-called “lightroom” where the sky and earth converge. This interaction between nature, light and art aims to stimulate visitors’ active sensory perception.
